Katrina was featured in Prestige Online’s Getting to Know series for a short interview.
What are you doing this weekend? My weekends nowadays mainly consist of sleeping in, ridiculous amounts of laundry, and watching Puppy Dog Pals with my daughter. I just received my Osprey Child Carrier, though, so I’m hoping to start hiking around [Hawaiian island] Oahu soon.
What’s on your playlist right now? I have everything from The Beatles to Chris Stapleton, to Billie Eilish on my playlist. I’ve just finished listening to Strawberry Fields Forever.
Tell us something that not too many people know about you. I speak Mandarin and my Spider Solitaire skills are fierce.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Oreo Thins and Riverdale. Sometimes at the same time!
What are you most likely to order at a bar? An Old Fashioned… though sadly I’ve just been drinking a lot of plain water lately. So boring.
Who was the last person you called? [American film actress] Karishma Ahluwalia. She ignored my call and sent me to voicemail.
Have you ever had a fan-girl moment? If so, who was it? I had a massive internal meltdown when I first met [Kate Mulgrew who plays] Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager. I was told later the meltdown wasn’t as internal as I had originally thought.
What’s next? What can fans expect to see from you in 2020? Going to round out season ten of Hawaii Five-0 and see what pops up after that.
Anyone you’d like to be Getting to Know better? I would love for people to get to know Nick Tarabay. You would know him from Spartacus and he is currently on Call of Duty. He is a super talented friend of mine and an amazing actor…but don’t tell him I said so!
It was announced today that Katrina is joining the upcoming season of Hawaii Five-0 as a series regular!
DEADLINE – Law plays Quinn Liu, a former staff sergeant with Army CID recently demoted for insubordination. After an explosive collision with Five-O on a case involving veterans, she soon becomes a loyal ally to the team that always has valued integrity over playing by the rules. Sharp-tongued in several languages, Quinn has a deep understanding of military culture, a mysterious past, and a deft ability to match wits with McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin).
“We are thrilled to have Katrina join the 10th season Hawaii-Five-O as a series regular,” executive producer Peter Lenkov said. “She dazzles as Quinn, the team’s newest recruit, and viewers are going to love seeing how she first encounters McGarrett and Danny. If you know the show well, you’ll be feeling some déjà vu.”
CBS has opted not to pick up the pilot, Alive, to series, unfortunately.
Alive (formerly Frankenstein) — PASSED OVER

Team: W/EP Jason Tracey (Elementary); EP Rob Doherty, D Uta Briesewitz (Westworld, Stranger Things)
Studio: CBS TV Studios
New project alert! Katrina is set to co-lead the CBS drama pilot, Alive, a modern interpretation of the classic Frankenstein tale. Ryan Phillippe and Aaron Staton are also set to star.
DEADLINE – Written/executive produced by Jason Tracey and directed/executive produced by Uta Briesewitz, Alive centers on Mark Escher (Phillippe), a San Francisco homicide detective who’s mysteriously brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty. But as he resumes his old life and he and his wife Elizabeth (Law) realize he isn’t the same person he used to be, they zero in on the strange man behind his resurrection: Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Staton).
Phillippe’s Escher, a San Francisco police investigator, was presumed dead after an attack and destructive fire at his home. Six months later, he shockingly reappears and is reunited with his wife, Elizabeth. But something has changed. A shadow has fallen across his sunny disposition, and he’s haunted by visions of the case he was working on when he died. He and Elizabeth will seek answers about who shot and abducted him, and what was done to him.
Law’s Elizabeth Lavenza, a pathologist/medical examiner, is stunned when her husband returns from the dead, and though she’s thrilled to have him back, she knows there’s a secret behind his disappearance, his reappearance and his new personality – and she thinks she knows exactly who’s responsible.
Staton’s Victor Frankenstein is a brilliant, slightly odd and driven – perhaps obsessed – scientist who is working on a secret, cutting-edge project. On the run from an ethics board in China, Victor is back in the U.S., where he works in a lab and is very involved in whatever it is that’s going on with Escher. He’s also Escher’s wife’s ex.
We would like to dedicate a post to say congratulations to Katrina and Keith who are expecting their first child together! Katrina made the announcement on her Instagram two days ago. We can’t wait to meet the little one!
Variety has reported that Katrina will be reprising her role as Nyssa Al Ghul for a single episode on Arrow later this season. She will be appearing in the 16th episode, entitled The Thanatos Guild. Last we saw Nyssa was on the Lian Yu island in the Season 5 finale.
“In an unforgettable episode that will change ‘Arrow’ forever, Katrina Law returns as the Daughter of the Demon, Nyssa Al Ghul,” executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim said. “Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love.”
Crackle has released the first teaser trailer of The Oath, and has announced that the series will premiere on March 8, 2018!
Written and created by showrunner and former longtime Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Halpin (Hawaii Five-O), the 10-episode original series explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join. Only a select few make the cut – but once inside, members will do what they must to protect one another from enemies on the outside and from within their own ranks.
